Low Mount

The low mount is used as a control position and is one of the best positions for transitions to submission attempts or to the high mount for striking. The hips are low, with the knees spread wide for a good base. Here, Eddie has double underhooks for better control of his opponent.

  • Low Mount
  • Great for control.

and prevent counter-punch to the face...

The strong man is not the one who wrestles, but controls himself in a fit of rage.

only prob i have with this one is that it's so easy for bottom guy to reverse by putting his foot on the outside of the top guy's foot and, since the underhooks are in, just pinch the arm in on the same side and roll. Oops. Your back in guard and on the bottom.
