Magic Carpet Sweep

I've got quite a few wrestlers in my gym, I often get beat to the underhook and have a hard time finishing the whizzer, especially from the knees. I now sometimes use this whizzer to set up this sweep I call the "Magic Carpet"

• Step 1

Starting from our knees, Chris and I start fighting for hand position
• Step 2

Chris beats me to the underhook
• Step 3

I work for the overhook by wrapping my right arm over Chris's left underhook
• Step 4

Having achieved the overhook, I drive my weight into my right shoulder, forcing Chris to base out
• Step 5

I now put my right leg inbetween Chris's legs and lift as I walk forward and drive my shoulder down, I am trying to flip Chris over.
• Step 6

Having no luck flipping Chris over, I decide to go for the magic carpet. So I take my right foot and place it behind Chris's right thigh the outside of my right knee is placed against Chris's midsection
• Step 7

I drop in towards Chris left hip as I use my right leg to lift Chris over me
• Step 8

I continue to flip Chris over my body until he hits his back
• Step 9

I follow the momentum created by the sweep to take the top position. (If you decide to roll ontop of your opponent make sure you fight for your far side underhook)
