I have been playing with the Side Ride position for a few months. Some of my grappling partners have been getting used to my set ups and finishes, so here is a nice move I discovered while trying to catch my guys.
If you have another option or questions please let me know, im always looking for something better!
I start in the side ride position.
I crossface Billy, exposing his right arm...
I step my right foot inside of Billy's right arm
I drag my right foot back, trapping Billy's right arm
with my left hand, I reach under Billy's left armpit and grab his wrist
with Billy's arm trapped, I dive over my left shoulder... which should force Billy onto his back.
I capture Billy's arm with my left foot
I triangle my left foot so that I can control Billy's arm as I shimp out - so I have a better angle to attack Billy
I throw my right leg over Billy's head and squeeze my knees together as I grab the headrest with my left hand
keeping the headrest, I reach under Billy's left arm...
... and I keep reaching around until Billy's arm is trapped behind my right armpit.
I thin take my right leg off Billy's head and put my knee on the other side of Billy's head and pull his head towards me...
when I get Billy's head close enough, I reach my right hand behind his head
I then grip my hands together and pull Billy's head towards me to finish the neck crank.
