North & South Escape Option: Soulder Crank

Just an option for this position. Takes some getting use to for timing.

  • 1
  • I start with Joe controling me from the top position.
  • 2
  • When I feel Joe losen his grip or I break the grip, I over hook his elbow, post on my left foot, and begin to kick my right leg through.
  • 3
  • I kick my right leg through and bring my head up high behind his shoulder while controling his arm.
  • 4
  • I push him to the mat with my shoulders and head as I block his hips from rolling over and escaping before I lock the arm.
  • 5
  • Keeping control of his wrist and keeping his arm as close to a 90 degree angle, I torque his shoulder by lifting his hand up and pushing down with my left elbow.

Nice sit out!

Very few people use the sit out. It's soooo effective!

i had forgot about this move, and someone used it on me the othe day, its totally effecitve!

I've escaped north-south by sitting out sort of like this technique but never thought of this submission. It's a slick move.

That seems QUITE useful, might even be able to change it up for wrestling.

The pics leave something to be desired though. Can barely tell you have the arm in a couple.

So the rubber didn't go as planned. Oh well, it's only $30.

I just got tapped with this last night, it actually hurt my shoulder a bit. Good stuff, gotta be quick though

It is actualy a stadard move in Catch- as -catch- can

"Tap snap or nap." -The submission fighters moddo and threat, but most of all its our way of life.

I've been able to get the reversal part of the move but not the sub. The other guy was about 260lbs. and I go about 190, could that be the reason?

very useful. Thanks
