Omoplata Roll
A cool counter when your opponent has you in a single leg on the mat, this technique can also work when you are standing.

Galen is in on a single around Eddie's left leg. Eddie applies head pressure to the top of Galen's head.
Eddie tucks his own head to the inside and starts to roll under as he kicks his left leg upward to catch Galen's arm.
Eddie sits up as he finishes the roll and drives his left hip to the mat. Eddie is careful to stay as tight as possible to Galen to avoid loosing the arm.
Eddie triangles his legs and scoots forward driving his weight into the shoulder of Galen's trapped arm. Eddie's arm is across Galen's back to prevent him from rolling out.
Eddie sits up to trap the arm with his stomach and drives his hips forward to finish the omoplata.

That will take some practice! And more flexibility....
"If the path is set in stone, use a sledge-hammer."
i love this move
you can also trap his right elbow by using your left hand (pic 1) to grip his tricep and rol into it that way.
It really works, though it looks complicated.

we worked on a variation of that move last week and I used it tonight while rolling and stuck it!!!!
ALL POWER!!!!
When i teach this, I try to make sure people don't figure four the legs. It actually makes sitting up a little harder. But hey>>> if it works for you .. it's all good. Good one Bawa!!!
lol my legs arent figure-foured though!
but thanks bro!!
I was looking at that... they aren't. LOL The description said that you figure foured.
Thought something was funny there!!
they are fig 4, to help drive himself up, then he opens them to finish.
thanks i know someone for this.
Never seek defeat, but welcome it.
I used a omaplata the other day from side control and figured I would look for it on this web site. I did not see it so I think I will plan on posting it as a tech soon. I love it and I think most that have not seen it will love it too!

Looking for it Joe!
