In this Picture, Matt has Fred in a Bad spot, about to be submitted.
At the last second Fred is able to clasp his hands in defense.
This is Submission and not MMA so Matt can not just strike Fred into next Tuesday. Matt needs to break Freds grip. One way Matt uses is a few mock pulls up against Freds clasped hands. Then after Matt Baits Fred by pulling up, He Explodes down against the clasped hands, breaking the grip.
Choosing a different Submission this time, Matt Extends Freds arm. Matt is pinching his legs together and keeping everything tight.
Matt falls back into armbar. Freds arm is extended and it seems this is it, all Matt Has to do is arch his hips.
Somehow, Fred Powers out, and Clasps his hands in defense.
Ok, Matts getting frustrated, but hope is not lost! With the foot not traping Freds head Matt kicks free of Freds hold.
Matt guesses that Fred has been doing Arm Curls all month and this time wants to try a choke, maybe Matt will find success with a triangle. Note the foot placement releasing Freds head and baiting him to sit up.
Fred Takes the bait and sits up right into triangle Choke. Note Freds arm is in, and Matt has a great angle... This is gonna be the end of poor Fred.
Matt simply arches his hips and pulls Freds head down for the tap...
What the heck.... NO Tap?!? and is that nose breathing Matt Hears? Ok thats it.... Nose pinch time!
After Fred finally submits, We all go back to square one and make sure we can finish these holds....wheres that bj penn book?

are you using the reverse grip for the kimura because you are going to switch to the armbar?
Top flow and a sense of humor.
Being attacked is like being asked a question- if you answer right you won't get asked anymore questions.
yes, now that you point that out. : )
good catch!
nice thanks for sharing
Courage does not always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying "I will try again tomorrow"
What's the reverse grip Eddie?
Just the facts maam.
hey Joe, to answer ur question. look at the first pic. usually for the kimura, u would have ur right hand on their wrist and ur left holding ur own. so the reverse is vise versa. he has his left hand on the opponent wrist and the right hand holding their own wrist.
天下無難事,只怕有心人
Yeah, the right hand on his wrist is the correct grip to finish the kimura and you can still finish the flow.
