47 Leg Lock Techniques in 4 Minutes - Jason Scully

Back again with another "Short But Sweet" video for you.  In this video I demonstrate 47 leg lock techniques in just 4 minutes.

Even though it's a decent amount of techniques in this video, this is just the start of the leg lock game.  There are so many more options and set ups for leg lock.

Many people call leg lock "The Great Equalizer" because unfortunately many people don't really have strong leg lock games.  So if you learn even just a few of these movements it can step your game up a lot.

More Scramble Concepts / Chain Drill - Jason Scully

More On Scrambling For Grappling!

Yesterday I sent you a video talking about some ideas to create short scramble situations you can win along with some ideas and concepts on scrambling in grappling in general.

Today I have a NEW video for you.  In this video I talk even more about the concept of scrambling and I show you a sample drill of many drills that I practice.  This drill and the concept behind the drill will help you learn how to actual turn a scramble into something that is more organized and less chaotic.

Recognize and Win Scrambles in Grappling / BJJ - Jason Scully

So it's been a few weeks but I didn't disappear. I'm going to keep this short and sweet.  Scrambling is a HUGE part of grappling but it is also a very understudied aspect of grappling as well.

The more you actually take the time and make an effort to actually dissect what scrambling is, the better you will be at recognizing them, creating, them and more importantly winning them.

Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira Teaches The Side Choke

Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira has long been one of my favorite fighters. I remember watching him catch Heath Herring in 2004 in a nasty Anaconda choke. I promptly went back to my gym and tried to Anaconda choke everyone in site. I had the most succes choking out the students in kids class. Every time one of the kids tapped out it was like getting a prize at the bottom of a box of craker jacks. (get it?)

In this video, the man with 21 MMA wins by submission shows his technique for getting and finishing the side choke (aka pillow choke, arm triangle, side strangle)

Passing The Guard With Rafael Mendes

I'm gonna call this pass the "Hot Knife" pass. Matter of fact i'm going to call Rafael Mendes "Mr. Hot Knife" from now on.

If you need some help with your guard passing, this video and and the drills covered within it will make your day. Mr. Hot Knife does a superb job of breaking down the elements of this knee slide pass and covers the smallest of details that will help you pass through your opponents guard like a hot knife through butter. Yes, this video and Mr. Hot Knife are that good. Take notes and go drill.

The "Anthony Leone Speacial" -Reversal For MMA & Submission Wrestling

The guys over at Phuket Top Team deliver a fantastic technique by top rated Bellator fighter Anthony Leone. In this video Anthony shows us how to reverse the top opponent after they have already taken you down.

Escaping The Body Triangle

There is nothing worse than having someone on your back with the rear body triangle locked in.

I have seen many MMA fighters and grapplers become frantic in their attempts to break this grip. Most grapplers are familiar with the step over foot lock counter - but in this video, Professor Robert Biernaki of Island Top team provides us with a heel hook counter. Check it out and let us know what you think!

Brabo Vs Anaconda

Anaconda vs Brabo Choke

Stephan Kesting from Grapplearts.com does a fantastic job (as always) of talking about the differences between the Brabo choke and the Anaconda choke.

Grappling Concept: Surviving, Defending and Escaping The Side Mount

One of the most frustrating positions to be stuck under is the cross body mount. In this great seminar footage Ryron Gracie talks about using the "Neck and Tricep" grip to turn the tables on the top player to make their progress difficult, creating frustration and opening up an opportunity to escape.

The Rat Trap

A beautiful set up for the key lock.
