Guillotine from Half Guard Bottom Plus Other Concepts - Jason Scully

Guillotine from Half Guard Bottom

Ok now that charity week is over, we can get back to sending out some more content for you to help you improve your grappling game.  We raised over $5,300 with all of our efforts in just  one week towards the fight against Cystic Fibrosis! Such a  great feeling to be able to help those in need.

For those who know me, they know that guillotines are one of  my top submissions.  I love them and I hit them from so many  different positions and so many different situations.

That's what I love about zoning in on a particular submission  or move and working hard to make it my own because then it then becomes your specialty and you start discovering so many more ways to use it to your advantage.

In this video I talk about how I actually set up the guillotine submission from half guard on the bottom, especially when my  opponent starts to overhook me arm that is underhooking theirs.

This set-up works so well for me because many people have no  idea that I'm even about to attack for it.

PLUS I also dabble in some other concepts and ideas as well to help give you some ideas on other things you can do and ways of making your attack even better as well such as:

- Some sweep and other quick options from the same situation
- Concept of where your opponent's head should be from half guard when attacking the guillotine
- How I position my hand/arm and how I move my body when I am working to complete the submission as well.

I hope it's helpful and gives you some ideas to add to your game.

Always! Air Guitar > Limp Arm

Thanks for the techniques! Everything you show is really practical. You definitely post the best online instructional videos I've seen.

I'm not a black belt, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
