Whether you call it the Marcelotine, Makenzietine, Swickatine, Prayer, Loop, Front choke or by it's most common name, the Guillotine choke has proven itself to be one of the most dominate finishing holds in both the Grappling and Mixed Martial Arts worlds. 

In this instructional video, fighting royalty Renzo Gracie shows us a great counter to this most common attack. Renzo shows us how to defend the standing guillotine attack by getting the takedown and finishing our opponents with the Phantom Choke (aka Von Flue)

Kenny Florian has officially announced his retirement from fighting. We here at Lockflow will miss watching the man with the "hellbows' slicing his way through his opponents. In honor of his retirement lets watch him teach a cool front choke variation using the RNC grip.

Guillotines are a powerful weapon to have in your arsenal. A proficient guillotine choker can strike fear into his opponents and make them tentative to shoot for take downs.

Guillotines are also relatively easy to setup and most people know the basic guard guillotine. This variation, which I call the WEC Choke, is a very fast and sneaky way of lopping your opponents head off. Take a look!
