Mayhem Returns to the UFC

MMA Weekly confirmed today that Jason "Mayhem" Miller has signed a multi-fight contract with the UFC. The news was confirmed by Miller's manager.

We have not seen Miller in the UFC since he lost to Georges St. Pierre, which contextually is hardly a mark against him at all. Since then, Miller has competed nationally and internationally, spending most of his cage time with Strikeforce. A recent trash talking festival between Miller and Nick Diaz seemed to hint at a possible match-up between Diaz and Miller, but that match never materialized. Other potential fights for Miller have dissolved into fantasy over the past months, leaving him out of action since Sept. With a newly inked deal in hand, however, we can safely assume that Miller will be gracing the octagon very soon.

But against who? That is a difficult question to answer just yet. Anderson Silva is an ever-present executioner, but a fight with the spider would undoubtedly be premature. A fight with Chris Leben or Brian Stann has potential, as does any number of fights with other middleweight gatekeepers. I, for one, am looking forward to see any match up involving Miller.
