Great show.
This weekend, my little town in South Carolina is having their first MMA event.
I think it is very interesting and a great story on two fronts: the economic impact these shows have in bringing money into a community, and then offering a venue for local fighters to participate in. It is nice to see some of these guys not having to travel several states away, and get some local press.
I think it makes for great stories. Long term, these smaller gyms and promotions will make offer much more character and nostalgia towards a fighter. Not everyone can come from AKA, Wolfslair, Extreme Couture, etc..
