3 Punch Combo

"Bad" Brad Blackburn has been a fan favorite for years in the Pacific Northwest. When the IFL was looking for fighters they were smart in picking up Brad. Brad was added to the TigerShark team with coach Maurice Smith as a welterweight. Brad had his first fight with the IFL on April 29th against Gustavo Machado where Brad won a decision. MMA fans will be able to see Brad and the rest of the IFL's teams on May 21st and May 28th on FSN.

I like the rash guard!! Thanks for the combo Brad - good luck on your next fight!
Nice tech.
Btw, is there a specific reason why you start your combo with a rear hand punch instead of the lead hand punch?
Train Hard - Fight Harder
I normally throw right hands 1st (im right handed) against south paws, and guys that keep their left hand low.
cool thanks.
Do I wanna fight?
Hell yeah I wanna fight!
yeah i like this
this one is my genral stand up combo when i want to get in close

good one...coming from sides then BAM!!! an uppercut!!
The strong man is not the one who wrestles, but controls himself in a fit of rage.

I was taught to try to make your last hand strike in a combo your south paw (if you're right handed). Against other right handed fighters, it helps keep them off ballance and makes it easier to move to their outside.
Anybody have an opinion on this? I'm relatively new to MMA, so my striking skills leave a lot to be desired.
Great combo, Im a big fan of quick 3 punch combos. I presume the 1st punch is with the rear hand because you want power straight up? Im a southpaw fighter and when I finish a combo, its usually with my left hand, I can get a lot of power out of it and it gives me space to breathe after I finish the combo. Thats my 2 Yen.
sweet combo....i like.
just lookin over some old tech's nice one
MMA Junkie just reported that Brad will be in the Next UFC Ultimate Fight Night ..."Blackburn, a former IFL fighter based out of Seattle, trains under Maurice Smith with Andy Reese, who will meet Brandon Vera at the same July 19 event. The 31-year-old has lost just once in his past five fights, which included a victory over highly touted IFL welterweight Jay Hieron in June 2007"
Ouch looks like it could do some damage to the jaw. Awesome!
"Come on, you sons of bitches! Do you want to live forever?"
Leading with the right, it sets up for 3 hard punches. Maybe use a lead double-jab to set it up? *goes through the motions* Feels fluid to me.

If he says so, then it must be the case. He probably knows better. Let him try to take advantage of it, and And I will do my thing
A Right, L. Hook and a Upper-cut...a lot of inexperienced fighters do this, it may work if you move in to him very quickly and explode your punches on him but if not he will be able to counter easily...jabs...I mean multiple jabs have their purpose and should be used! Distraction, distance, opponents position in cage or ring...this should never be attempted in the middle of the ring or cage!
