3 Strikers Show The "Brazilian Kick"

The Brazilian Kick is a great way to fake out your opponent to land the head kick, check out these 3 instructional videos, and a knockout video. The Brazilian Kick gets it's name because it was made famous by Brazilian Kyokushin fighters who brought it with them to the K-1 kickboxing scene and had much success with it. The two fighters that seem to get the most credit are Glaube Feitosa and Francisco Filho.

We use something like this but keep our hand up in a high guard.  I have noticed that a lot of tdk guy drop their hands a lot.   I saw Chun Le doing it quite a bit against Wandy.

LOL, thanks FC... The 'Brazilian' is a great kick, you bring your knee straight up like your gonna hit them with a front kick, and at the last second you roll the hip over and BAM!! I have both landed this quite a few times, and had it landed upon me.. LOL Im gonna press the 'hit' this button now.

^^^^

That's messed Up!

I learned this kick from a Brasilian.  I call it the brasil kick.

The way high level kicking in Olympic TKD is done all basic kicks start with bringing your knee forward like doing a front kick.  When the kicks start the same way you have less time to react and defend. I start my round, front, and side by bringing up the knee forward.
