If you are familiar with fighters Randy Couture, Matt Lindland, Evan Tanner, Dan Henderson, Ed Herman and Chris Leben, then you should know that they all came from the world famous Team Quest gym out of Oregon.

Team Quest's head coach is a man named Robert Follis. We were fortunate enough to have Mr Follis stop by our gym in Everett, WA to train on his way to teach a seminar in Canada the following day.

After some great rolling, Robert was gracious enough to show us a great elbow from the Over/Under Clinch

Here is the video of the technique and the step by step is shown below. If you are interested in booking Robert Follis for a seminar you can contact him at Robert@TQFC.com

  • Step 1
  • Robert and I are in the Over/Under Clinch
  • Step 2
  • Robert slams his right shoulder into my left side, the impact forces me backwards
  • Step 3
  • Robert brings the left elbow up....
  • Step 4
  • Robert slams his left elbow into my head

helped me a lot! Thanks for it!

hard sparring session is like a cold shower in a warm day. It feels good.

Nice elbow to the head!

Awesome!

thats very cool... good flow from striking to grappling is what its all about.

Nice shoulder pop. Simple, yet buys enough space to throw the elbow.

The more you sweat in training, the less you will bleed in battle - นักรบ
