Jab, Cross, double left Hook

Here is a good punching drill combo to drill and develop.
Jab, Cross, Lead hook to the body followed by a lead hook to the head.

The low - high lead hook combo works great, as the first one gets them to drop thier hands and the second one catches them in the head.

Here's Tim hitting the mitts, for the step by step see below.

Step 1

Nate and Tim square off

Step 2

Tim shoots out a jab to Nate's face

Step 3

Tim follows up with a right hand

Step 4

Bringing his right hand back to his head, Tim leans over with his left side and delivers a lead hook to the body

Step 5

Tim brings his left side slightly back with his hands held high...

Step 6

Tim then twists and fires a left hook to the jaw

I like the double left hook, I use it plenty when boxing but the body blow doesn't do much damage, also I like to follow up with a varied right after the last left depending on the opponent's reaction. Either go for the kill with an uppercut if the guy leans in to his left or another cross or straight for added damage if he tries to pull away. Don't forget to bring back your left for protection though.

I found a way to make my left body hook hit harder, I noticed I started to go with an overhand right after the left jab while sparing which lowered and cranked my left shoulder ready for the left body hook. Added bonus is there's a good chance your opponent will raise both hands due to the overhand right (experianced fighters will probly leave their left arm mid level, my friend figured it quickly after he droped twice to the mat hehe)
