Jab to Pulling Elbow

Heres a nice little combo for working the basic Pulling Elbow, Be careful whenever you practice you elbows-as it is easy to cut your partner

  • Step 1
  • I square off with Kai
  • Step 2
  • Pushing off my rear leg, I cover my face and throw a jab at Kai's face. Kai covers his head to protect himself.
  • Step 3
  • As I bring my jab back to my face, I step slightly forward with my lead foot as I reach my right palm out and cover the back of Kai's lead hand
  • Step 4
  • My right hand pulls Kai's lead hand down as I cover my face with my left hand
  • Step 5
  • I "Roll" my right elbow over my right hand and drive my elbow into Kai's face.
  • Close-up
  • A close-up of the elbow strike. Remeber the tip of the elbow is used for cutting your opponent as the flat part is used more for impact.

I just want to tell people... see how Chaz keeps his left hand high to cover his face as he throws his elbow? Very important, becuase if you're close enough to throw an elbow so is he!!

Thanks, Sergio!

more!

"Obviously, You don't know who I think I am."

I like how this rolls through.

Style doesn't matter, KNOWLEDGE & SKILL matter ! ! !

coming from the blind side...yikes!!

The strong man is not the one who wrestles, but controls himself in a fit of rage.

This is a nice move... Something you don't see coming.

You're not drunk if you can lie on the ground without holding on.

thats an awesome manoveur(sp?). nice form chaz...nicely done.
