The "Up" kick is a very useful tool to have in your arsenal when fighting in a MMA match. Up kicks can be used to Knock out your opponent, set up a submission or keep your opponent at bay!

On the Bottom
Matt finds himself on the bottom in the up down position
Matt coils his left leg back and aims his heel at Nate's face
Matt shoots off his shoulders and raises his hips off the mat as he drives his heel into Nate's face.
Leg Kick - chamber
Here, Matt prepares to kick Nate's leg by sitting on his left hip and pulling his right foot back

Matt quickly rolls on his left hip and drives his shin bone into Nate's thigh
For another version, Matt could post on his left elbow or hand (not pictured) and post up on his toes so that he sould shoot the kick up to the neck or head area.
