Knees from Judo Position
![]() |
The Judo position allows us the opportunity to land some great strikes. Here are a few kneeing options to your opponent's head.
-
Step 1
-
Step 2
-
Step 3
-
Step 4
-
Option #2 - step 1
-
Option #2 - Step 2
I have Seth in the Judo position (the left hand is in the far side underhook)
Keeping my left hand in the underhook position, I switch to the "Head Rest", with my left hand on my head - trapping his right arm. I also bear down on my right arm - trapping his left arm.
I point my right knee up towards the ceiling
My knee travels downward in an inward arcing motion so that the inside of my knee slams into my opponent's face.
Another knee could be loaded up by straightening my right leg out and...
then drive the top of my knee into the side of my opponent's head.

Pretty cool, I do judo so this position is very familiar

watch out for the bridge, you have no real base in step 3
Being attacked is like being asked a question- if you answer right you won't get asked anymore questions.
I love knee's. On the ground or standing they always rock. You make a good point too Lindsay!
