Lead Hand Superman Punch

The superman punch has long been a favorite of Kickboxing fighters. This punch has now also been used frequently in MMA.

The punch can be used as a way to gain distance or power, or as a fake kick to a punch.

Traditionally, the superman punch is done with the back hand, here is a lead hand version - most noticeablly used by current UFC champion Georges St. Pierre in his last several fights, where he also likes to add a kick!

Sally starts in her fighting stance

Sally lifts her lead leg off the ground as she slightly brings her left shoulder back

Here is a angle of Sally's lead shoulder, she has is chambered back ready to add power to her punch

Sally swings her lead leg back (keeping it off the ground) as she hops forward with her back leg. This motion drives her body forward and allows her to add more power to her lead punch.
