Moving from Over/Under to Thai Clinch

If you like the Thai Clinch, here is an option when you are in the Over/Under Clinch and want to improve your position to the Thai Clinch

  • Step 1
  • Josh and I are in the Over/Under or Wrestler's Clinch
  • Step 2
  • I reach my left arm over Josh's back and hook the far side of Josh's neck
  • Step 3
  • Stepping back with my left leg I pull Josh to my left
  • Step 4
  • with the room created by the pull, I drop my left elbow in front of Josh's right shoulder
  • Step 5
  • I pull out my right hand and lock in the Thai Clinch
  • Step 6
  • Im now ready to start working my knee game

Great technique Chaz. These are the little beauties that I really dig. Nothing fancy but they work. He who controls the clinch, controls the geography of the fight.
