The Overhook Clinch is a great option when your opponent beats you to the underhook (or you bait them into the underhook for this clinch position).
In a situation where you can pin your opponent against the ropes or cage, it is a great option for regaining control, and setting them up for some follow up techniques.

The Overhook Clinch
Here, I have Nate pinned against the cage with left wrist control, but he has the left underhook on me.
I overhook Nate's left arm with my right
I take my left hand and grab Nate's right trap, getting my left forearm under Nate's chin and tight to his chest
I lift Nate's chin with my left forearm as keep my head tight to prevent Nate from hitting me with his right hand
From this position, I knee Nate in the left leg...
I could also knee Nate in the body from this position...l
I could also pull down on Nate's head and drive a knee to his face
If Nate tries to follow his underhook and spin out of my Overhook Clinch....
I could try and trip his inside leg to knock him off balance....
while he steps back to catch his balance...
I could catch him offguard and drive a knee into his midsection or head...
Or I could sacrifice myself and step behind both of his legs
and trip him over my leg to the mat
So Key points to remember:
#1 Overhook their underhook
#2 Grab their trap/shoulder with the other orm
#3 Keep your elbow close to their body, and control the chin
#4 Keep your head protected

your welcome!
great stuff! IMHO i still believe that the technical side of close distance striking, whether it be the GnP, dirty boxing/clinch, ride position/opponenet in turtle, and other sorts are still in a somewhat early stage and has a lot more room to improve. this is a great addition to the improve of that, thanks Chaz!

thanks coach, how's Nate's babies?
A friend of mine used this in his title fight last weekend. He landed about 8 unanswered knees from this position. Great technique.
