Here is a nice set up for the right hand that we call "The Pull". It is certainly not a "new" technique as it has been used by boxers and fighters for years with good success, I just wanted to make sure that we had it in our lockflow database.

Issac and Vern square off
Issac steps in with the left foot and takes his left hand over Vern's left guard and slightly pulls Vern's hand down
Here is another view of Issac's pull, notice how he keeps his chin tucked behind his lead shoulder
After pulling down vern's guard, Issac throws his right hand to the target, in this case Vern's jaw.

We call this the "Bowler" entry and use it for haymakers- same motion as a cricket bowler

Interesting that you posted this. Don't want to spoil anything, so I won't mention names, but this technique was used in a fight I was just watching to set up an uppercut KO from hell. Good stuff!

When in doubt the left hook comes out.
In JKD, we call it a Lop Sau (pull hand), or an H.I.A. (hand immobilization attack)..either way, love it.

Funny story Thunder- I used to write it llup- because it was explained to me as pull backwards and I thought it was just a play on words! Until a training partner got his hands on my notes and put me in the right direction (lots of laughing involved). Pak I Lop JKD!
