Here is one of several pummeling options for dealing with the Thai Clinch.

Step 6
Seth has me in the Thai Clinch.
I use my right hand to push Seth's right elbow outward
I reach my left arm through the opeining I made and reach for Seth's right shoulder
I arch my head up and turn sideways, sliding my left shoulder past Seth's right grip and grip the back of his head
With my left hand I pull his head down as my right hand slides between his head and left shoulder to put him in the Thai Clinch
I follow up with a knee to the face.

In regards to step 2, what if your opponent has an insanely strong grip with his elbows (i.e. it's hard to simply move out of the way)? Aside from keeping your forehead pressed against his shoulder (which is what I've been shown), what else can you do to buy yourself some time to get your hands into the positions as shown above?
Rapid, here's an option off a tight grip:

Also something I love to do in this grip if the guy is strong arming you...throw an uppercut, but stick to the side of his face, that way you hit his head up and your momentum gets your arm around his neck.
Everyone has a plan till they get punched in the face - Mike Tyson.
I would try overhook/underhook combo to get out of this clinch
if this doesn't knock him out can always follow up with an uppercut.
