Thai Clinch Transition Flow
![]() |
Its always frustrating when you slap a thai clinch on your opponent and you start throwing knee strikes and hardly none of them ever land because they are being blocked by your opponents forearms. Mike Flowers, Head Instructor at The Fight Zone Gym in St. Albans, WV will demonstrate a thai clinch transition that will show you how to use your opponents forearm blocking efforts against him. He can be contacted thru his website www.thefightzone.net.

Thanks for the video Mike!
I am going to try that one out!
I'm also on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/Proffes
Just finished the school holidays- my sons n nephews just spent 14 days drilling the thai clinch- I covered the underhook/chicken wing but I havent seen that pickup of the wrist n throw- we were underhooking on both sides n then lifting to get the arms out of the way to knee
Being attacked is like being asked a question- if you answer right you won't get asked anymore questions.
at 0:44-:047 in the video--another great way (for pro) is to just elbow across the face as soon as their hands go down for the block.
