True Fight Gear Shin Guards

These guards are some of the best I've seen and have got a chance to use. The guards are made out of natural leather, the stitching was nothing special, but it has held in really well. They are also very sturdy and do a good job of protecting your shins The reason the guards are so sturdy is because they have two layers of foam protection. This provides a nice balance of comfort as well as the much need protection while getting feedback from checking a kick. Other guards I've used have thin protection that still allow your shin to get micro fractures and such, but the True Fight Gear are nice and thick. They aren't so thick that movement is lost though.

 They were a bit stiff at first, but after a couple sessions they shaped up very nicely. The look is pure leather, nothing fancy or cheap. They have one logo right in the top middle of them. It keeps it clean and simple. There are two straps that are pretty thick. The whole strap is Velcro, which provides great grip so movement is at a low. The instep is held in place by a typical elastic type band, nothing special there. They held in place really well when doing different type of drills that include some sprawling or other takedown defense/offense. When I asked my partners on how it felt on the receiving end of the kick, they had no complaints to offer. There was no sacrifice or compensation in technique because they just felt like another part of my body, just like gloves or a gi. Overall these guards do exactly what they were made to do, and they do it well. Would I reccommend this product to someone else? Yes, yes I would. Solid, comfortable, stylish, and offer good protection, True Fight Gear did an awesome job on these guards. Some pictures are provided down below.
