About Me

Started Taekwondo when I was a kid, earned a 4th degree blackbelt in the ATA (family friendly Martial Art). Started looking for something more serious and trained with Haru Shiminishi and Maurice Smith in kickboxing.

Saw the first UFC and was hooked. Started fighting in some local events and a few underground shows. Had some success and won a few Ammy titles when Matt Hume of AMC asked me if I wanted to compete in a pro event called Superbrawl in Hawaii.

After winning my pro-debut Matt invited me to train with the AMC team. I gladly accepted. My training partners included Josh Barnett, Ivan Salaverry, Jeff Monson, Kim Mason, Chris Monson, and the rest of the crew.

I have been lucky enough to fight for the WEC, Superbrawl(Hawaii), Shooto(Japan), Abu Dhabi(Brazil), AFC (Florida), UFCF(Washington), Raw Combat & Ultimate Warrior Challenge(Canada) and a few smaller organizations.

I also fought in the first Pro MMA event in Washington state and acted as a referee for the Washington State Athletic Commission. I also currently promote AX Fighting and CageWarsMMA.

I currently own C3(Charlie's Combat Club) & AMMA in Washington state. I have trained many fighters throughout the years and have a great group of instructors and fighters.

I started Lockflow as a personal journal of techniques and a way to share and exchange knowledge with others.
