About Me

My name is Bill Mayfield. I own/instruct Hidden Samurai Martial Arts in Owensboro, Ky.

I began my MA training with Karate in the late 80's. Moved on to JKD in the early 90's. Began studying the Akumu Fighting System out of Ft Collins, Co in 1996. I've earned a Black belt in Japanese Goshinjutsu, 2nd degree Black belt in the AFS, assistant instructor ranking in Kali/Silat, Muay Thai, and Aiki-jutsu).

Started fighting NHB warehouse fights in late 90's when we had NO weight classes and NO time limits. Won more than I lost(11-2).
I had my first 'real' pro fight at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally 2004 which I won in 1.5 min with a choke. This rules thing is SO much better!!!

Began studying BJJ in 2005, purple belt far! I was working back into fighting with Hook-n-Shoot, when I got my knee destroyed(ACL/MCL/PCL/Miniscus ruptures) in 2005 and officailly retired and become a coach.

I have coached several guys to ammy titles and still lovin every minute of it!!! I have a great group of Kids and Adults that train in Kali, Muay Thai and BJJ now, and will continue to coach for as long as my Lord and Savior allows me to!
