About Me

For my 12th birthday I received 3 months of Tae Kwon-Do lessons and I was hooked. I got my Black Belt in Tae Kwon-Do in 1988 and in 1996 I received my 4th degree Black Belt.

In Nov. of 1993 I got "re-hooked" this time on grappling after watching the first UFC (just like everyone else). I've been mostly grappling ever since.

After more then 12 years of serious Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training I received my Black Belt from Gracie Barra Black Belt Marcio "Mamazinho" Laudier in March of 2007 (just before my 40th birthday). In September 2011 I was promoted to first stripe black belt by Rodrigo Lopes.

I am currently teaching at North Sound BJJ in Lake Stevens, WA and training under Gracie Barra Black Belt Rodrigo Lopes (Gracie Barra Seattle/Bellevue).
